All registered voters in San Benito County will be mailed a Vote by Mail ballot. Vote in the safety of your home by returning your Vote by Mail ballot by mail or an official drop box. There is no need to complete a vote by mail application.

Mailing of Vote by Mail ballots begins no later than 29 days prior to Election DayDelivery times may vary between 3-10 days. If you need a replacement ballot mailed to you, the last day to request the ballot is seven (7) days before Election Day.

Take action to be vote ready:

  • Check your Voter Status 

  • Check that your mailing address is current. 

  • If you will be away from home during a mailing period, call the elections office (831-636-4016) to provide a seasonal address.

What If I Don’t Want to Vote by Mail?

If you do not want to vote using the Vote by Mail ballot, you can go to a Vote Center to vote in person. If you vote at a Vote Center, your Vote by Mail ballot will be voided. You may bring you Vote By Mail ballot to surrender at the Vote Center or destroy it and throw it away.
