•  2024 Bridging Civic Engagement through Creative Collaboration Award 

This innovative initiative leverages Venecia Prudencio artistic talents to create compelling visual narratives that inspire community participation in the electoral process. By transforming public spaces with vibrant murals and interactive installations, Prudencio aims to foster a deeper connection between citizens and their civic duties.

• 2023 Central Coast Creative Corps Award

The Central Coast Creative Corps awarded the Elections Department $140,000 grant to collaborate with the San Benito County Arts Council to advance civic engagement in elections.

Elections "Ballot Drop Box" Ride Along Program

The "Ballot Drop Box" Ride Along Program makes it possible for citizens to observe, ask questions, and experience the daily procedures election staff take as they collect Vote-by-mail ballots at all official drop boxes.

Youth Engagement in Elections

Kids Voting was introduced at all Vote Centers to help to establish the importance of voting in youth of all ages. This experience allows young students to physically go through the process of voting in person and turning in their ballot to the official ballot box.
