 A Report of Registration (ROR) is a comprehensive report of the number of registered voter in San Benito County. The report details several voter statistics. The San Benito County Elections Department along with all other state counties provides the Secretary of State with a Report of Registration according to Elections Code 2187 reporting at the following incremental time periods: 

  • 135 days prior to any presidential or direct primary election (voters registered 154 days prior to the election)
  • 102 days before each presidential general election (voters registered 123 days prior to the election)
  • 50 days prior to the primary or general election (voters registered 60 days prior to the election)
  • 7 days prior to the primary or general election (voters registered 15 days prior to the election)
  • February 10 of each odd-numbered year

The reports include the following information:

  • Total number of voters
  • The number of registered as preferring each qualified political party
  • The number registered as preferring nonqualified parties
  • The number registered without choosing a political party preference
  • The number of voters by political party preference in each of the following political subdivisions, located in whole or in part within each county
    • A supervisorial district
    • Congressional district
    • State Senate district
    • State Assembly district
    • Board of Equalization district
    • Cities and unincorporated areas
